The hotel has have 47 bedrooms, some of which have sea-views or a balcony. All are unique and no two rooms are exactly the same, as you would expect in a building such as The Cliffden.

There are a number of accessible rooms that are equipped with talking clocks, level indicators for kettles and roll-in showers.

You can enjoy breakfast in our restaurant overlooking the terrace through its large window front or indulge in Afternoon Tea on one of our comfy couches in the lobby.

Our indoor, heated swimming pool is a great spot to relax and is open daily for our guests.

Fantastic location

Devon, known for its stunning coastline and sandy beaches, is a perfect location for a staycation or short trip with your friends, family and even the dog.

Long walks, the sounds of waves and the sand in between your toes (well, at least in the summer for the colder month wellies are a definite ‘must - have’) make the perfect combination for a relaxing stay.

The hotel has gated access to the beach and after a 200 yard stroll you are there. You can even catch a glimpse of the famous Dawlish Riveria Line from Exeter.

The hotel is set in stunning 7 acres of beautiful gardens that offer space to walk, relax and unwind.

In its centre, looking up to the hotel, you will find a pond that is crowned by one of its many cherubs.

The Terrace

Enjoy breakfast, Afternoon Tea or a refreshing drink after a long day by the beach on our sea-view terrace.

There are a number of sun umbrellas to give you shade and dog bowls available if you brought your four-legged friend.

Our restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch, dinner and Afternoon tea.

You can expect a selection of tasty and healthy dishes, all-time favourites, and seasonal specials all cooked up to your liking.

The Swimming Pool

Our 15 metre leisure pool is open daily for our hotel guests and members. Recently fully refurbished, it’s a relaxing spot to enjoy during your visit.
