Walk to Dawlish
A short and somewhat easy walk along the Southwest Coast Path (although don’t underestimate it – there are a couple of hills!), the Teignmouth to Dawlish railway walk takes you from the Victorian seaside resort of Teignmouth, clambers over the cliffs of Holcombe and ultimately drops down into Dawlish town centre. It is an invigorating and healthy “fresh air” walk. On arrival in Dawlish, it is free time to do whatever you fancy. Whether that be a little bit of retail therapy, a bit of indulgence in a nice lunch, or a drink in one of the quirky bars, that is your choice. And when you are ready – head over to the railway station and catch the famous Dawlish to Teignmouth train along this infamous stretch of coastal railway – compliments of the Cliffden Hotel. On arrival back at the hotel, join us in the lounge for a complimentary tea/coffee and scone with Devon clotted cream.
Walk to Shaldon
A short walk along the promenade to the back beach to catch the Shaldon ferry. The Teignmouth to Shaldon Ferry is a central part of life on the River Teign and is possibly the oldest passenger service in England being traced back to 1296. Shaldon is an idyllic little fishing village of quaint thatched cottages, period houses and narrow winding streets. Enjoy a stroll through this beautiful village, purchase a tea/coffee and just feel the vibe. We will then return via the ferry to Teignmouth and back to the hotel. On arrival back at the hotel, feeling invigorated and refreshed, join us in the lounge for a complimentary tea/coffee and slice of naughty but nice cake!

Prices are for the 4/5-night package inclusive of lunch, dinner and breakfast daily.
Entertainment and excursions are subject to change, cancellation or alteration at the hotel team’s discretion.
A non-refundable deposit of £100 per person is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
Final payment of the balance is due 4 weeks prior to arrival.
Cancellations are permitted up to 4 weeks prior to arrival. In the event of cancellation by 4 weeks prior to arrival, you will be refunded any payments made minus the £100 per person non-refundable deposit.
